Today we said goodbye to our beloved Neo.
To say our hearts are broken is an understatement, they are shattered into a million tiny pieces.
On 30th August 2009 a little bundle of fluff came into our lives and our hearts.
As a puppy Neo destroyed everything in his path including a few tv remotes and ipods, the foxtel remote twice as well as the entire garden.
He quickly became jackson and samuels loyal shadow and protector. Noone would ever harm his kids while he was on watch.
For such a big, intimidating dog he had a gentle way, especially with any children he met. We have lots of beautiful memories of Neo acting as a big furry pillow for little ones at weekend auskick games, they loved him as much as he loved them.
Neo was Samuels vigilant carer and comforted him through lots of hard times, he knew long before we did when Samuels arthritis flared and was there for Samuel at every step. I will be forever grateful for his amazing intuition, thank you my big bear.
He really was a one in a million dog.
His favourite things to do were eating carrots, biting the hose, killing anything with a squeaker and those oinky pigs!
Our hearts are broken and miss you terribly, but you are now out of pain and at peace.
They say all dogs go to heaven so godspeed Neo. We will meet again one day

Neo is one of the most amazing dogs I have had the privilege to own.
He is a big, imposing character but also incredibly gentle, children in particular are drawn to him.
He has bonded extremely closely with our youngest son who has juvenile arthritis.
Neo is never far from his side, he will also alert me if Samuel is having a bad day. He knows long before either myself or my husband if Samuel has a flare up coming and he is great source of comfort to Samuel when he is in pain. He really is Samuels best friend.
He attends the local primary school and visits with the classrooms on a regular basis. where the children read to him and show him what they have been doing since his last visit.
Even kids who are normally scared of dogs are comfortable around him.
We are incredible lucky to have him as part of our family.
